Modern caravans and motor Homes floors are made of sandwich construction. The floors is constructed of two sheets of thin plywood bonded to a styrofoam core,. If the bond breaks down, delamination takes place. and so your caravan floor will then feels spongy as you walk across it. Delamination can be cured injecting specially-formulated epoxy resin, which takes up the void and rebounds the construction together.
Floor Delamination glue kits should only be used by qualified caravan repairer.
.Remove the carpet.
.Drill holes in a regular pattern 6 inches apart to the affected area.
.Inject the 2 part epoxy resin into holes until resin comes out of surrounding holes.
.Insert wooden dowels into holes.
.Wipe up any excess glue.
.Allow 24Hrs for resin to harden.
.Once the delaminated area is solid sand down any eccess glue or dowel heads .
.Relay the carpet and fix
